Grew up believing that #Beyond2000 (loved that TV show) we will have flying cars and world peace. Looks like I was a naive fool but I still need to believe there is enough goodness in us to keep us from self-destruction. I need that because I have a kid and I need to tell myself I didn't bring her into this world just to be surrounded with hatred and evil.
